Listening to someone carp and complain is not my favorite thing; it’s not at all pleasant. Today I found myself the recipient of a long rant about what’s wrong, who’s wrong, and exactly how everything is wrong, wrong, wrong. I listened for a while and then – out of my own discomfort – began to offer counsel: You should change your thoughts; you should change your decision to worry about things you clearly can’t change.
Good advice . . . I probably should take it.
